We will be climbing the Munros
(including the Inaccessible Pinnacle) by their easiest routes, this
sometimes involves some simple scrambling. The rope may be used on some short sections but no previous experience of ropework is required. We will supply any technical equipment that is required, eg. ropes, harnesses and helmets. It would help if you are reasonably fit for this week.
The exposure on many
parts of the ridge requires a good head for heights. The Cuillin
Ridge is a must for everyone! Each of the days in Skye comprise of a single
day walk, you will then return to your accommodation every evening.

We normally use the SYHA hostel in Glen
Brittle as the base for this week. Prices are approximately
£15 per night.

The Skye Cuillin Ridge Traverse
The aim is to
attempt a traverse of the Skye Cuillin Ridge in 2 days with an
overnight bivouac high on the ridge.
The other 2 days
will be spent practicing your scrambling and ropework
techniques and possibly stashing some equipment or water on the
ridge.
The traverse of this
very exposed ridge consists of 10km of continuous scrambling and
rock climbing with many abseils. Clients will have to be very
"hill fit" for this course with previous scrambling or climbing
experience, for the less fit clients a 3 day traverse is a
possibility, please phone or email Brian to discuss your
