Our Winter Skills courses are run in the
Northern Cairngorms near to Aviemore giving us great winter
conditions, and are readily accessible by vehicle to the Cairngorm
Ski car park at about 2000 feet up the mountain.

An ideal introduction for walkers
venturing into the Scottish hills in winter. Techniques covered include - carrying the axe correctly, kicking steps, cutting steps, ice axe arrest,
crampon skills, route selection, weather, avalanche awareness and avoidance.
